Cosmic acceleration from first principles

چکیده

General relativistic entropic acceleration theory may explain the present cosmic from first principles without need of introducing a cosmological constant. Following covariant formulation non-equilibrium phenomena in context homogeneous and isotropic Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) metric, we find that growth entropy associated with causal horizon our universe (inside finite bubble eternal inflation) induces an is essentially indistinguishable $\Lambda$CDM, except for slightly larger rate expansion compared to what would be expected CMB possibly solving so-called $H_0$ tension. The matter content unchanged coincidence problem resolved since it introduces this new force. constant made unnecessary future hypersurface Minkowsky rather than de Sitter.

Cosmic acceleration from asymmetric branes

We consider a single 3-brane sitting in between two different five dimensional spacetimes. On each side of the brane, the bulk is a solution to GaussBonnet gravity, although the bare cosmological constant, fundamental Planck scale, and Gauss-Bonnet coupling can differ. This asymmetry leads to weighted junction conditions across the brane and interesting brane cosmology. We focus on two special ...

Cosmic acceleration from effective forces?

Accelerated expansion of the Universe may result from an anti-frictional force that is self-consistently exerted on cold dark matter (CDM). Cosmic anti-friction is shown to give rise to an effective negative pressure of the cosmic medium. While other models introduce a component of dark energy besides “standard” CDM, we resort to a phenomenological one-component model of CDM with internal self-...

Cosmic acceleration from interaction of ordinary fluids

Cosmological models with two interacting fluids, each satisfying the strong energy condition, are studied in the framework of classical General Relativity. If the interactions are phenomenologically described by a power law in the scale factor, the two initial interacting fluids can be equivalently substituted by two non interacting effective fluids, where one of them may violate the strong ene...

Dark Energy Dominance and Cosmic Acceleration in First Order Formalism

The current accelerated universe could be produced by modified gravitational dynamics as it can be seen in particular in its Palatini formulation. We analyze here a specific non-linear gravity-scalar system in the first order Palatini formalism which leads to a FRW cosmology different from the purely metric one. It is shown that the emerging FRW cosmology may lead either to an effective quintes...

Acceleration of Cosmic Rays at Cosmic Shocks

Nonthermal particles can be produced due to incomplete thermalization at collisionless shocks and further accelerated to very high energies via diffusive shock acceleration. In a previous study we explored the cosmic ray (CR) acceleration at cosmic shocks through numerical simulations of CR modified, quasi-parallel shocks in 1D plane-parallel geometry with the physical parameters relevant for t...
